In Memory of Juliette

Earlier this year, Juliette Kenny, a much‑loved member of our café team, lost her life to meningitis. Juliette was a bright, kind and valued part of the Macknade family, and she is deeply missed by everyone here. 

Following conversations with Juliette’s family, we felt it was important to honour her memory in a way that could help others. Supporting Meningitis Research Foundation helps fund vital research, increase awareness of meningitis symptoms and support families facing the same heartbreak Juliette's loved ones have endured.

The 'Ride to Verona' Spinathon 

Our fundraising efforts will begin with a ‘Ride to Verona’ spinathon, challenging our team to collectively cycle the equivalent distance from Faversham to Verona, Italy - a place that holds special meaning for Juliette and her family.

Taking place on Wednesday 10th June at SpinLab - our new on-site indoor cycling studio - the spinathon will see 20 bikes running throughout the day, with staff, suppliers and partners all stepping up to contribute miles towards the 900-mile journey.
