Beef Keema Pies

Milly's Beef Keema Pies

To celebrate International Women's Day this year we put the call out to our fabulous community to share their favourite foodie memories with us - specifically those recipes from the inspirational women in our lives. We had a number of delicious entries but the one that really stood out to us was from Gillian Dawson who nominated her daughter Milly and her Beef Keema Pies!

Spiced Barnsley Chops w/ Marinda Tomato Salad

Spiced Barnsley Chops w/ Marinda Tomato Salad

We’ve combined the rich flavour of griddled Shottenden lamb, marinated slowly in local yoghurt and spices and paired it with juicy segments of orange and soft, sweet onion steaks. Alongside this, we’ve prepared a simple salad from Sicilian Marinda tomatoes.

Asparagus & Herb Salad

Asparagus & Herb Salad

A delicious springtime salad that goes with everything.  We recommend trying it with baked trout, or if the weather permits, Barnsley lamb chops grilled on the barbeque.

BBQ Burgers

BBQ Burgers

There are many ways to make burgers, though as is often the case, it’s the simplest recipe that works the best. Ultimately it’s all about using high quality meat that’s full of flavour and experimenting with toppings, sauces and sides.

Stroopwafel Brownies

Stroopwafel Brownies

This brownie recipe might seem a little unusual, because it does not contain any chocolate. However, the secret to the most dense, rich brownies you’ll have ever tried and which will never turn out dry is not to use melted chocolate in the batter, but cocoa powder instead. We’ve added Dutch Stroopwafels for a bit of extra sweetness and crunch, but any chopped biscuit or even leftover sugar coated Easter eggs would make good add-ins.

Sweet Potato Waffles with Crispy Parma Ham

Sweet Potato Waffles with Crispy Parma Ham

These American-inspired waffles are the perfect things to enjoy for a Mother’s Day brunch, with a delicious interplay of salty and sweet, and soft and crisp. Mashed sweet potato in the batter gives these waffles a rich colour and flavour that holds up well to the traditional toppings of blueberry and syrup, and the crispy parma ham makes a delicious alternative to more traditional bacon; too salty to enjoy as part of a fry up, but perfect here paired with an otherwise sweet plateful.

Pork Steaks with Butter Beans & Chorizo

Pork Steaks with Butter Beans & Chorizo

Steaks are a popular at home Valentine’s Day dinner, but pork loin steaks are a much more affordable, versatile option that you can pan fry in the same way. Serve with butterbeans, chorizo and a simple dressed green salad if you want to impress!

Blood Orange & Sesame Cashew Crunch Bowls

Blood Orange & Sesame Cashew Crunch Bowls

Vibrant, sweet yet sharp blood oranges have arrived, adding a welcome splash of colour to the seasons otherwise green-dominated palette. They pair beautifully with Asian flavours, so this rice bowl is perfect loaded up with seasonal greens and a sesame-oil fried egg... plus a generous few spoonfuls of White Mausu’s delicious Cashew Crunch!

Panettone Trifles

Panettone Trifles

Pairing cherries steeped in kirsch with a tangy, slightly sweetened whipped cream and pillowy slices of Macknade panettone, these trifles are super easy to make for Christmas!
