A Warm Welcome To Swale Barn Vets

Exciting news for all our animal lovers! Swale Barn Vets, an independently owned small animal veterinary practice, is opening at our Faversham site early next year.
The new facilities are currently being built behind our main store and feature state-of-the-art equipment to help diagnose and manage complex pet medical conditions. There are also thoughtful touches, such as designated dog & cat wards, to keep every visit as stress free as possible.
The brand-new veterinary clinic will be owned and run by Faversham local, Radu Neagu. Radu graduated from Cluj University in Romania in 2007, and after completing his Masters and a PhD in Canine Reproduction, he relocated to the UK in 2011, where he has been practising as a small animal vet ever since.
Radu commented, “At Swale Barn Vets, there is no such thing as one size fits all. Every animal is special, and providing the right care requires a realistic, inclusive and integrative understanding of the unique background of each pet and their owner.”
Radu has worked in Manchester, South Yorkshire & East Midlands, but settled in Faversham in 2016 to what he describes as “an amazing community amongst beautiful surroundings.”
He added, “I’ve been caring for the cats and dogs of Faversham, Mid and East Kent for the past six years, so opening my own, independent practice, is a dream come true. Much like Macknade, family is important to us, and you’ll see the same friendly faces every time you visit, greeting you with compassion & kindness. Your pets will be treated as if they were our own!”
We are delighted to be welcoming Radu and his team to our Macknade community, which we know extends well beyond people, and can't wait for the practice to be up & running in the new year.
