ITALY UNCORKED: North West Italy

We're celebrating Macknade's Italian heritage with a series of wine tastings in our Wine Store. We'll explore wines from various regions in Italy, starting from the Alps and moving down to the Islands. Italy has more unique grape varieties than France, Spain, and Portugal combined and with so many wines from so many different areas, it can be a bit overwhelming. Join us to uncork the best of each region and explore their exciting and diverse offerings! 

NORTH WEST ITALY

The second tasting on our tour will begin with a sparkling wine from Lombardy's Franciacorta, followed by Piedmontese whites, including the exquisite Gavi. We'll explore the principal red varieties - Dolcetto, Barbera, and of course Nebbiolo-based wines from Barolo, Barbaresco, and elsewhere in the region. We will complement our wine selection with carefully curated samples of regional delights from our Deli counter.
