At Macknade, we’re passionate about great food, community, and doing things the right way. We are excited to be looking for a Maintenance Lead to be the guardian of the customer experience across our entire site, ensuring that every area around the store feels tidy, safe and aesthetically pleasing.
THE ROLE
As our Maintenance Lead your role will include:
- Conducting regular walk throughs to identify issues before our customers notice them
- Collaborate with management to plan and execute maintenance related projects efficiently and safely
- Maintain a high standard of presentation across indoor areas including signage, displays, fixtures, lawns and customer pathways
- Carry out day to day repairs including fixing broken fixtures, touching up paintwork, tightening fittings and addressing wear and tear
- Support the set up and take down of events, including moving equipment and preparing spaces
- Liaise with external contractors to ensure tasks are completed
- Complete general tasks to keep the site in excellent condition, hazard free and compliant with health and safety expectations
We are looking for someone with:
- Basic knowledge of practical trades such as carpentry, painting, basic electrical awareness or general DIY
- Experience in a maintenance or facilities role
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to assess issues and take initiative
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the sites physical condition
- Ability to lift, move and handle equipment safely

The salary for this role will be between £30,000 to £32,000 FTE
Weekend and occasional evening work will be required
