With the sunshine set to return across the South East, it’s time to stock up on everything you need for the ultimate BBQ spread. Our butchery counter is bursting with expertly sourced, high-welfare meat – including some exciting new arrivals – plus our popular sausages, burgers, kebabs and more.
New In: Tamworth Pork from the Mackinder Herd, Marden
Our latest pork delivery is something truly special. Reared just outside Marden, these Tamworth pigs roam freely in oak woodland and open paddocks, foraging naturally alongside a diet of locally grown wheat and barley. With minimal travel and stress – just a mile from farm to slaughter – the result is richly flavoured, tender pork that’s perfect on the BBQ. Think thick-cut chops, juicy ribs and pork steaks ready to marinade.
Coming Soon: Wagyu Beef from Charrington Farm, Reigate
Wagyu lovers, keep an eye on the counter. Braising cuts from Ed Hall’s herd at Charrington Farm will be landing on our counter this week, with prime steaks to follow shortly. Raised slowly and sustainably on this Pasture for Life certified estate, these cows graze the wildflower meadows and herbal leys of the River Mole valley. With great marbling and outstanding flavour, these cuts are ideal for cooking low and slow on the Traeger Grill or reverse searing to perfection.
Home-Cured Bacon – Only at Macknade
Our in-house, nitrate-free bacon is a real labour of love – and a real standout for any breakfast dish or burger topper. Made from free-range pork loins and bellies sourced from Dingley Dell Farm in Suffolk, each piece is cured with just salt and sugar, turned daily for a week and sliced right here by our butchery team. Make sure to pack this on your next camping trip.
