Lockdown Larder Tomato Sauce

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a pan

Bring to the boil

Reduce to a simmer

Cook for 45 minutes or until reduced to a thick sauce

  • 500g tinned tomatoes, drained of their juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (or red/white vinegar)
  • 100ml stock
  • 2 pinches chilli flakes
  • 2 pinches of celery salt
  • 2 pinches of sugar
  • 1 good squirt of tomato ketchup
  • Cracked black pepper
