Situated in the Elwick Place development, beneath the Picturehouse cinema, is our latest venture, offering all-day dining & drinking in the heart of Ashford. There is parking directly outside, which is free after 3pm, and electrical car charging points. Coach parking is located at the Civic Centre & Stour Centre Car Park (TN23 1PL), which is ten minutes’ walk away.

Ashford itself is located just off the M20 motorway, with fantastic access into London & Europe. We are also only 5 minutes’ walk from Ashford International Station, which is only 37 minutes from London St Pancras and 20 minutes from the cathedral city of Canterbury. Tickets can be purchased direct via the Southeastern website by clicking here. We are only a stone’s throw from Victoria Park and there are bicycle racks outside, with excellent connectivity across the town.

We are an inclusive bunch. There is a special menu for the little ones and well behaved dogs are always welcome on leads. Elwick Place is also wheelchair friendly and there are disabled bays just outside.

Macknade Elwick Place is temporarily closed because of COVID-19. We are doing everything we can to protect this fledgling business in the long term, which means closing right now is the right thing to do. We will back soon, stronger than ever, so please keep an eye on our social media channels and sign up to our mailing lists for the latest news.

About The Local Area

We are proud to be part of the burgeoning food & drink scene that is taking a grip of Ashford. From its vineyards, breweries & cider makers to its milk producers, ice cream makers & farmers, Ashford and its surroundings are teaming with stunning produce… one of the many reasons we were attracted to the town in the first place.

There are plenty of excellent bars, cafés and restaurants to explore, including the Curious Brewery (from our friends at Chapel Down), The Hopstuff Taproom, Coachworks and all its residents. And if shopping is more your thing, then look no further than the Ashford Designer Outlet, on the fringes of the town, or County Square Shopping Square, just opposite us at Elwick Place.

Why not make a weekend of it exploring the surrounding countryside & stately homes, or visiting one of the many beautiful villages in the borough – Tenterden & Biddenden being two fof our favourites!

Don’t miss Ashford’s CREATE, a one-day music & arts festival championing emerging talent, which happens every July in Victoria Park.
