Known as the ‘Garden of England’, Kent is home to some of the countries leading wine producers. Macknade represents 40+ Kentish wines in-store so it was exceptionally hard to pick just six! Here’s some of our favourites…

Chartham Bacchus
Chartham 11.5% abv
Colour of pale straw with green tinges. Its aromatic bouquet has tasting notes of elderflower and citrus. A well-balanced wine with a long finish it is an ideal accompaniment to fish dishes or spicy Asian foods.

Heppington Pinot Gris
North Downs 11.5% abv
With an aroma of orchard fruit, a smooth and honeyed mid-palate and elegant acidity this clean and zesty Gris holds a lengthy finish which will continue to improve in bottle.

Simpsons Rabbit Hole Pinot Noir
Barham 12.5% abv
Deep crimson in colour with redcurrant, blueberry and exotic spice aromas, the silky tannins are complemented by black fruit flavours and undertones of freshly ground coffee.

Barnsole Red Reserve
Staple 11% abv
An unfiltered blend of Rondo and Regent, this fuller bodied red wine presents a chewing tobacco nose. Stewed fruits and figs on the palette with smoked plum and cherry, finishing with balanced tannins.

Biddenden Gribble Bridge Rosé
Biddenden, Ashford 11.5% abv
A full, well balanced medium dry wine. Produced with the Dornfelder and Ortega in the traditional manner by overnight maceration of the fruit prior to pressing to help to intensify the full fruit flavour of this wine.

Westwell Ortega Rosé
Charing 11.5% abv
Nose of wild strawberries and honeysuckle with flavours of redcurrants, melon and a twist of white pepper on the finish.
