Jazz & Aperitivo w/ Mike Austin

Join us at Macknade on Friday April 5th for a very special Jazz and Aperitivo evening with saxophonist Mike Austin, a regular performer in Soho at Ain't Nothin' But the Blues, who will be performing jazz and Latin standards from Duke Ellington to Cole Porter and beyond, accompanied by Dan Banks on the piano.


Starting at 7pm, you'll be welcomed with a drink on arrival and the opportunity to order from a menu of small plates created by the Macknade kitchen, while Mike & Dan take to the stage.


Tickets are £15 each and include a drink on arrival.

A regular at Soho’s Ain’t Nothin’ But The Blues, saxophonist Mike Austin is no stranger to big stages worldwide, and tours extensively with jump blues master Chris Corcoran. A graduate of Royal Northern College of Music, Mike has performed with Wynton Marsalis, Bob Brookmeyer, Bobby Shew and Lew Tabackin and is currently the musical director of the Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra. 


Mike Austin will be joined by multifaceted jazz pianist, composer, and arranger Dan Banks, based in Maidstone, Kent, celebrated for his broad musical influences and contributions to the South East jazz scene. Dan’s output spans a variety of jazz styles, with influences from classical to contemporary jazz, and has performed with numerous jazz luminaries including Tim Garland, Tom Ridout, Mark Nightingale, Nigel Price, and many more.
