Summer may have been a bit of a let-down with nothing but rain and cold, but summer means cider and there is no reason, rain nor shine, we should ever miss out on Kentish grown cider!
Mark Mount, from Woolton Farm near Canterbury, comes from a long line of apple growers who used to send the apples which did not meet shop standards to the West Country. Fortunately for us, Mark decided to keep them for Kent and make his own cider from his own apples.
Mark from Kentish Pip will be with us on the 8th of September from 11 until 3 so be sure to come in and taste the results!

Deciding it was unreasonable that the fruit in Kent was so underrepresented, she started making her own jams and chutneys from the best local fruit available. Initially selling only to friends and family, her business has grown to accommodate larger delis and farm shops but she keeps her ingredients of the best quality possible, sourcing all her fruit from Kent.
