Kentish Strawberry Vodka

A combination of our two favourite things...

Ingredients

We found this super summery recipe here.

  • 750ml bottle of your vodka of choice
  • 600g Kent strawberries - if you can't get Kentish, just make sure they have lots of flavour!
  • Glass jar with an airtight lid.

Instructions

  1. Rinse and hull your strawberries, then cut them into quarters.
  2. Place the strawberries in your jar and pour in the vodka. Keep the vodka bottle to one side!
  3. Seal the jar and swirl to make sure the vodka & strawberries are fully mixed.
  4. Store in a cool, dark place (such as a kitchen cupboard) for 3-7 days, swirling once a day. The longer you leave your vodka, the more flavour you will get from the strawberries.
  5. After your alloted time, strain the vodka and strawberry mixture through a very fine cloth, like muslin or a cheese cloth.
  6. If you want it even clearer, strain again through a coffee filter.
  7. Pour the liquid into your original vodka bottle to store.
  8. Mix with orange liqueur, fresh lime juice & cranberry jucie for a strawberry cosmopolitan! Or enjoy neat over ice on a sunny day.
