Macknade goes digital
After months of collaboration and dedication our new website is finally here… and we’re really pleased!
Back in 2012 we identified that we needed to revamp our website. This was a site that had served us well but was now simply being added to rather than being crafted to suit the needs of our growing business.
As we entered 2013, and with Finn on board as our General Manager, we finally grabbed the bit by the teeth and started planning.
2014 saw us identify a handful of excellent Kent based firms, from individual designers through to tight knit agencies, as part of a lengthy tendering process. It was important to us that we had a Kentish collaboration as a ‘local’ understanding was critical to the website’s development. As a small Kent business with aspirations to grow, we wanted to support and build a partnership with a business that shared that approach and ethos, so this was at the forefront of our mind.
Having met and interviewed various companies (all of which were very impressive!) we realised that we needed a complete solution – that is, a business that would look at our rebranding as well as the website holistically.
Step forward The Hideout…
The Hideout team led softly, but oh so surely. Our Account Manager Sarah, the creative genius John and Dan the techie whizz have all been fantastic, patiently dealing with our convoluted desires and transferring our emotive, bricks and mortar food hall experience onto the ephemeral realm of the internet.
This was no mean feat but one that, after months of collaboration, drive and personal passion, we have more than achieved. Not only does our website frame Macknade beautifully, but it draws attention to all that makes us special…our customers, our staff and our suppliers.
We are really proud of what The Hideout have done and all the more so because of the passion they put into it. They have captured our forward thinking approach, creating an emotive food and drink reference point whilst providing a pragmatic shop window from which our less localised customers can make purchases. They are also customers of Macknade and value what we stand for, and this shines in their work.
As with everything we do, this whole process could only be achieved by working together as a team, making the most of our different skills to deliver what we hope is a wonderful online experience.
What do you think of our new website?
Please tell us your thoughts about our new website and whether there is anything else you think it should feature (we can’t promise we’ll make it happen, but we’ll definitely take it on board!)…
