Our Summer Party Drinks Guide
What to serve, what to take with you and what to buy for your alcohol-free friends…
What To Take
It’s always a good idea to take a bottle or two to a Summer soirée or BBQ…
Our Williams Chase Rosé makes a great gift. It’s a classic Provence rosé, with notes of peach & grapefruit, and comes in a beautiful bottle with a glass stopper. With rosé always a Summer favourite, it’s also a good option if the host decides to crack it open straight away.
If you’re going down the beer root, a selection of our craft cans would go down well (Beavertown, the Wild Beer Co etc) and you could supplement this with a few bottles from Pressure Drop & Brew by Numbers (the Grisette Lemongrass is particularly refreshing if it’s warm!).
If You’re Hosting
Let’s be honest, the last thing you want to be is the cocktail barman/woman all day and you want something easy, that you can make early and leave to look after itself. Enjoy yourself and don’t get stressed out!
For us, a fruit punch or sangria is the natural choice… This prosecco sangria is fun and makes the most of the Summer’s delicious soft fruits. Or, if you fancy something on the stronger side, we’re having a rum moment. This article by Island Outpost, has some really interesting recipes for rum punch including one that uses chilled Rooibos tea!
To make your life even easier, how about a serve yourself gin bar? Pick three or four of your favourite gins, a selection of Fevertree tonics, a bucket of ice and various garnishes and set them out for your guests to serve their own. All that’s left to do then is a blackboard of serving suggestions for what tonic & garnishes go with each gin.
And For The Non-Drinkers
You’re definitely going to need some alcoholic-free options for the drivers/teetotallers at your party. We’ve got some really interesting soft drinks in-store at the moment, including the Thor Spritz range and Qucumber sparkling water, which are way better than your average bottle of Shloer!
It’s also a good idea to make up some flavoured waters in large glass kilners, not only for non-drinkers to enjoy, but also to keep everyone hydrated! We came across a tasty combination abroad of Ginger & Watermelon if you want something a little quirky.
